PowerToys

What it does
PowerToys is a free set of more than 30 small tools from Microsoft that make Windows easier to use. Examples: arrange windows in custom layouts, rename many files at once, resize images, pick colours from the screen, copy text out of images, remap keys and launch apps from a search box. You turn each tool on or off in one settings window. It is for anyone on Windows 10 or 11 who wants more control over their desktop, and it installs with a normal Windows installer.
How easy it is to install
A · download and open · Windows
Windows is the only system it runs on and there it is an A: the releases carry ready installers (for example PowerToysUserSetup-0.103.3006.0-x64.exe, about 303 MB), and the README also offers the Microsoft Store and WinGet.

- Infotools that touch system settings
The utility list includes "Hosts File Editor", "Registry Preview", "Environment Variables" and "Keyboard Manager", which change Windows settings that affect your whole computer. The machine-wide install option (`winget install --scope machine`) needs administrator rights.
AI review
- Infolarge install for small tools
Each release installer is around 300 MB (PowerToysSetup-0.103.3006.0-x64.exe, 303 MB) even though the individual utilities are small.

What Radar could not check
- Exactly what diagnostic data is sent and whether you can turn it off in your version
- Which of the 30+ tools work smoothly alongside your other apps and shortcuts
- Real disk use after installing, which Radar estimates from the installer size
- Whether the tools that change system files need administrator rights every time
