D3.js
d3/d3Reviewed by Radar
What it does
D3 is a free JavaScript library that programmers use to turn data into charts, maps, diagrams and animations on web pages. It gives fine control over every part of a graphic, and many other chart tools are built on top of it. It is not an app you open: you write code that uses it, then the result runs in any web browser. It is for web developers and data journalists who can program in JavaScript.
How easy it is to install

What Radar could not check
- How hard it is to learn for someone new to JavaScript; the project points to separate documentation and examples.
- Whether newer changes since the last release (v7.9.0, March 2024) affect existing code.
