Huashu Motion

What it does
A skill pack plus command-line tool for AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or Codex. You describe the product you want a launch video for; the assistant writes the animation as a web page, writes a music score that is played locally from instrument samples, and opens an editor in your browser where you click on the frame and type what to change. Exports MP4, MOV with transparency, WebM or GIF. You need a coding assistant, Node 22, Chrome and FFmpeg, and you work through the terminal. The author says it was only tested on macOS.
How easy it is to install
D · terminal, several tools or a specific graphics card · macOS
On macOS, the platform the author says he actually tested, you install it with one command but you also need an AI coding assistant, Node 22 or newer, Chrome and FFmpeg, and the whole job runs through terminal commands, so the grade is D. There are no ready-made binaries in the 5 releases.
Coming soon: install in 1 click with the RepoPicks app.

Risk signals (4)

AI review
- Infoadds watermark to exports
README: for videos over 4 seconds, the last 1.2 seconds show a small line of text "Made with huashu-motion" in an empty corner; the README says you can ask the agent to turn it off.
AI review
- Infodownloads extra files at run time
README "需要什么": `om samples build` downloads about 55MB of instrument samples, and the Kokoro voice needs a model of about 325MB on first use.
AI review
- Infothird party license carve outs
README license section: code and docs are MIT, but the bundled GSAP keeps the GSAP Standard License, the fonts are SIL OFL 1.1, and the "豆子花叔" character drawing in runtime/clip/lib/toon.js is excluded from the MIT grant.

What Radar could not check
- Whether it runs on Windows or Linux: the README says it was only tested on macOS so far.
- Whether the example videos shown in the README were produced exactly as described.
- Real disk use after downloading the instrument samples and the voice models.
- The real cost per video, which depends on the AI model you point it at.
- Whether a video made from a single sentence reaches the quality of the samples, which the README says often took several rounds of feedback.
